Culture and Hopi Language

Greetings!

Nu Tsuwesnem yan matsiwa pu Shelley Hongeva pahan matsiwa.  Nu Piikyaswungwa, Munqangak sino.  My name is Shelley Hongeva I come from the village of Munqapi and belong to the Corn clan.

I am now starting my fourth year here at Moencopi Day School and have enjoyed every minute of teaching your children what I know. I am looking forward to another great year.

I am now going on my fourth year here at Moencopi Day School and I have been blessed with teaching your children, our children, with what I know. As I have said before, I do not claim to know everything Hopi, but I did have great teachers growing up, grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles, sisters, brothers, the whole community of Munqapi. 

My hobbies include photography, scrapbooking, and puzzles.  

Looking forward to another great school year.
